Chevron Australia has awarded TechnipFMC a subsea installation contract for the Gorgon Stage Two development offshore Western Australia, TechnipFMC reported Thursday.

“We are pleased TechnipFMC has been selected for this significant contract,” Hallvard Hasselknippe, president of TechnipFMC’s Subsea unit, said in a BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast statement. “We value our long-term, collaborative relationship and are committed to bring the best assets and our solid experience in project execution, fabrication and installation to the field.”

According to TechnipFMC, the contract covers:

• Project management and engineering
• Transportation, installation and pre-commissioning of umbilicals, flying leads and manifolds
• Fabrication, transportation, installation and testing of rigid spools

TechnipFMC also noted that the offshore campaign will take advantage of local capabilities as well as the company’s global pipelay fleet. The subsea installation will take place in water depths ranging from 250 to 1,340 meters, the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast added.
