On Tuesday, the American Automobile Association (AAA) reported that average U.S.
price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline is $2.62 – just seven cents higher than a year ago.
“The nearly 49 million Americans hitting the road for Thanksgiving will find pump prices similar to last year,” Jeanette Casselano, AAA spokesperson, said in a written statement.
In fact, AAA contends that motorists should add cheaper gasoline prices to their list of “things for which to be thankful” this Thanksgiving because the $2.62 figure reflects a seven-cent decline from the previous week – the largest one-week decline in pump price this year.
