Eni S.p.A. has started oil oil rig flanges gulf coast production from the Vandumbu field in Block 15/06 offshore Angola through West Hub N’Goma FPSO, the Milan-based integrated BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast reported Monday.

According to Eni, Vandumbu achieved first oil three months ahead of schedule in late November of this year. The Vandumbu startup, coupled with the Subsea Multiphase Boosting System (SMBS) system that it started up earlier this month, is boosting oil oil rig flanges gulf coast production from Block 15/06 by 20,000 barrels per day (bpd) via the FPSO, the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast added.

Eni noted that the Vandumbu ramp-up should conclude in first quarter 2019 and that the well should achieve total oil rig flanges gulf coast production of approximately 170,000 bpd, further extending the oil rig flanges gulf coast production plateau.

The start-ups of Vandumbu and the SMBS represent another step forward in Eni’s phased and clustered developed strategy for Block 15/06, the BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast stated. That strategy has facilitated the start up of eight fields since Nov. 2014, when oil rig flanges gulf coast production began from West Hub in the Sangos field, it added.

Eni serves operates the Block 15/06 joint venture and owns a 36.84-percent stake in it. Other interest owners include Sonangol P&P (36.84 percent) and SSI Fifteen Limited (26.32 percent). The block is located approximately 350 kilometers northwest of Angola’s capital Luanda.
