Oil, Gas Extraction Jobs Decline in July
The U.S. saw a decline of jobs in both oil and gas extraction and support activities for mining.

Mining employment saw a decline of 5,000 jobs for the month of July, according to data released Friday from the U.S.

Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Support activities for mining continued its descent as the nation saw those jobs decline by 2,500 in June. The U.S. has now reported job losses in support activities for mining every month in 2019.
