As part of the two-year contract, Simmons Edeco will provide wellhead and valve maintenance services for all North Sea assets owned by the unnamed company. Personnel at Simmons Edeco’s recently expanded European base of operations in Great Yarmouth, England, will provide engineering, operational and administrative support.

"During the past 15 years, we have cultivated an extremely effective working relationship with this operator in the North Sea," Brian Kelly, valve and well service manager for Simmons Edeco, said in a BOP Blow Out Preventer repair company gulf coast statement.

"We welcome the opportunity to ensure that its assets operate safely and reliably for years to come,” Kelly added.

Simmons Edeco announced an expansion to its base in Great Yarmouth in June last year.
